Los ingredientes de la ensalada rusa
- Aunque haya muchas maneras de prepararla, normalmente está compuesta de patata, zanahorias, aceitunas, atún, huevo duro, guisantes y mayonesa.
- Although there are many ways to prepare it, it is usually made up of potatoes, carrots, olives, tuna, hard-boiled eggs, peas and mayonnaise.
La origen de la ensalada rusa
- En cuanto a su origen, hay mucho debate sobre si es rusa o no, lo que muchos gastrónomos piensan es que la ensalada rusa está inspirada en un plato que se originó en la Rusia de los Zares.
- As for its origin, there is a lot of debate about whether it is Russian or not, what many gourmets think is that the Russian salad is inspired by a dish that originated in the Russia of the time of the Tsars.
La versión española
- Sin embargo, este plato se ha adaptado a los ingredientes de cada zona del mundo: es por eso que en España tiene un sabor tan mediterráneo, con aceitunas incluidas.
- However, it has been adapted to the ingredients of each area of the world: that is why in Spain it has such a Mediterranean flavour, with olives included.

Las angulas del norte
- Las angulas del norte son un plato culinario que tradicionalmente se solían consumir en Navidad como algo especial, sobre todo en el País Vasco y en otros lugares del norte de España.
- Northern elvers are a culinary dish and traditionally they were eaten at Christmas time as something special, especially in the Basque Country and other places in northern Spain.
¿Qué son las angulas?
- Las angulas son las larvas de las anguilas y desgraciadamente han sido pescadas tan intensamente en el pasado que hoy en día están casi extintas.
- Baby eels are the larvae of eels and unfortunately they have been fished so intensively in the past that today they are almost extinct.
Las gulas
- Para sustituir a las angulas se han creado las “gulas”. Las gulas son trozos de pescado blanco cortados su precio es más económico que el de las angulas “auténticas”, lo que las hacen ser muy populares.
- To replace elvers, “gulas” were introduced. "Gulas" are pieces of white fish cut and their price is cheaper than that of “authentic” elvers, which makes them very popular.
