¿Dónde se celebran las hogueras?
- Tradicionalmente las hogueras se queman en las plazas de los pueblos, aunque en muchos lugares también en las playas.

Las tradiciones
- Las hogueras de San Juan reúnen a una gran cantidad de gente y una vez que las llamas de las hogueras son más pequeñas, los jóvenes más atrevidos suelen saltar descalzos por encima de la hoguera.
- The San Juan bonfires gather a large number of people, and once the flames of the bonfires get smaller, the most daring youths often jump barefoot over the bonfire.

Las hogueras de San Juan
- Las hogueras de San Juan se suelen celebrar la víspera del 23 de junio, que es cuando se celebra el día de San Juan.
- The bonfires of San Juan are usually celebrated on the eve of June 23, which is when San Juan is celebrated.
El origen de las hogueras
- Las hogueras se remontan a tiempos prehistóricos, cuando se solían quemar ramas secas para celebrar el solsticio de verano, el día más largo del año. Los católicos cristianizaron esta celebración pagana.
- Bonfires go back to prehistoric times, when dry branches were burned to celebrate the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. Catholics christianised this pagan celebration.
El Día de la Hispanidad
- El Día de la Hispanidad es un día de fiesta que se celebra en toda España el día 12 de octubre. En ese día la expedición de Cristóbal Colón tocó tierra en el continente americano.
- Hispanic Heritage Day is a holiday that is celebrated throughout Spain on the 12th of October. On that day, the expedition of Christopher Columbus touched land in the American continent.
Desfiles militares
- En este día se llevan a cabo grandes desfiles militares por las calles de Madrid. Es un gran acontecimiento nacional. En Aragón, ese mismo día, celebran el Día de la Virgen del Pilar.
- On this day big military parades take place through the streets of Madrid. It is a great national event. On the same day, in Aragon, they celebrate the Day of the Virgin Mary of Pilar.
