La intolerancia extrema
- Por desgracia la homosexualidad está prohibida en muchos países, y en algunos casos se condena con la pena capital. Por ejemplo en Sudán o Arabia Saudí. En países como Bangladesh o Guyana, te pueden dar una condena de entre 10 años y cadena perpetua por ser homosexual.
- Unfortunately, homosexuality is prohibited in many countries, and in some cases, it is condemned with capital punishment. For example in Sudan or Saudi Arabia. In countries like Bangladesh or Guyana, you can be sentenced to between 10 years and life in prison for being gay.
La intolerancia y la discriminación
- En países como Rusia o La India, no existe protección para los homosexuales y la discriminación es común.
- In countries like Russia or India, there is no protection for homosexuals and discrimination is common.
Responsabilidad gubernamental

La tolerancia
- Pues hay muchas cosas que se pueden hacer. Como con muchos temas en los que la ignorancia es un problema, la mejor arma que tenemos contra estos ataques es la educación, desde los colegios, en materia de tolerancia.
- Well, there are many things that can be done. As with many issues in which ignorance is a problem, the best weapon we have against these attacks is education, from the schools, on tolerance.
Invirtiendo en la educación
- Esto significa educar a los niños y también a los profesores. El gobierno también está invirtiendo en la educación de las fuerzas de seguridad, para que tengan mayor entendimiento de lo que son crímenes de odio, para que los puedan reconocer mejor, ya para que sepan los lugares y las situaciones donde ocurren más, para que puedan prevenirlos.

The government is also investing in the education of the security forces, so that they have a better understanding of what hate crimes are so that they can better recognize them, and so that they know the places and situations where they occur the most so that they can prevent them.
