Inherited Disorders
People can develop disorders if they inherit certain alleles.
Example - cystic fibrosis
- Cystic fibrosis is a disorder of cell membranes.
- It causes thick, sticky mucus to build-up in the lungs and digestive system.
Recessive allele
- Cystic fibrosis is caused by a recessive allele.
