    • With this belief, it is possible to say that the role of animals is to provide for humans.
    • Such as providing food and clothing, scientific advance and amusement for humans.

  • But some thinkers compare speciesism with racism and sexism.
    • For example, the Australian philosopher Peter Singer.
  • Singer says that it is morally essential to respect the lives, dignity and needs of all animals.
    • In the same way as we should show respect regardless of race or gender.
