Buddhism is a minority religion in the UK. Only a small percentage of the population identifies as Buddhist.
However, it is growing. More people have become interested in mindfulness, meditation, and compassion.
UK Buddhists come from many backgrounds. Some are from Asia and some have chosen to follow Buddhism later in life.
There are temples and meditation centres in many UK cities. For example: London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Glasgow.
