Animals are divided into vertebrates and invertebrates.
Groups of vertebrates
- Vertebrates are divided into five smaller groups:
- Mammals.
- Reptiles.
- Fish.
- Amphibians.
- Birds.
Groups of invertebrates
- Invertebrates are divided into smaller groups. Some of these groups are:
- Arthropods.
- Molluscs.
- Sponges.
- Annelids.
