Air Resistance
Science: Year 5 & 6 National Curriculum, topic 5.2.2
Air Resistance
Air resistance is a form of friction that affects moving objects as they fall or move through the air.

Objects moving through the air
- An object moving through the air is hit by small air particles in the air.

Faster moving objects
- An object hits air particles faster as the object moves faster through the air.
- As the object hits air particles faster, the object has more air resistance.
Test yourself on Air Resistance
When do air particles hit an object fastest?
What is the friction between an object and air particles?
