Observations & Testing
An experiment is a scientific test or set of tests. An observation is something you notice happening.

Testing a hypothesis
- Experiments can test a hypothesis to see if it could be true.
- Experiments can also lead to a new hypothesis and further tests.

Sharing observations
- Scientists sometimes share their observations with each other before they form a hypothesis.
- An example of observation is to notice the behaviour of birds on the playground.

Observations of plant growth
- Another example is to notice the growth of plants over time.
- Observations can be recorded and shared through talking or writing.
