Salt Separation
Mixtures of materials and substances are easy to separate.
Separating salt from water
- Salt dissolves in water when you mix them.
- The mixture of salt and water is called a salt solution.
Getting salt from a salt solution
- You can get the salt back from the salt solution.
- You need to heat the water, or the water needs to be left to evaporate over a long period.
- The salt will be left behind when the water has evaporated.
