Plastic is a widely used material. However, it has many downsides.
Use of plastic
- We use plastics as they are very light.
- We can use plastics to make plastic bags and bottles.
Negatives of using plastics
- One major downside of plastics is they last a long time.
- Plastics take a long time to breakdown naturally (biodegrade).
- Plastics are bad for the environment and animals living in it because they take so long to biodegrade.
