White Bloods Cells
White blood cells defend against infections. There are two types of white blood cells; phagocytes and lymphocytes.

Have a nucleus

Can change shape
- White blood cells can change shape.
- This allows them to squeeze through the walls of blood vessels into body tissues.

Phagocytes
- Phagocytes engulf harmful microorganisms in a process known as phagocytosis.

Lymphocytes
- Lymphocytes produce proteins called antibodies, which are part of the body's immune response.
