Humans & Waste
Biology: Cambridge International GCSE Supplement, topic 20.3.1
Humans and Waste
Current rates of resource use are unsustainable and are producing huge quantities of polluting industrial waste. Whilst the long-term goal is to limit waste as much as possible, it's important that we strive to correctly handle the waste being produced now to prevent unnecessary extra pollution.

Population size
- The existence of more humans means that more resources are being used, a significant proportion of which are non-renewable.

Standard of living
- Furthermore, not only are there more humans than ever before, but the standard of living required is also reaching new heights. Consequently, the production of goods is increasing.
