Nuclear Waste
Biology: Cambridge International GCSE Supplement, topic 20.3.2
Nuclear Fallout
Nuclear accidents may result in nuclear fallout, which is the radioactive waste that falls from the sky following a nuclear blast.

Radius
- It may travel for many miles, carried in the wind away from the site of the accident, affecting organisms on land and in the sea.

Consequences
- Radioactivity can cause genetic mutations and cancers in living organisms.
