Statistics

We use the word statistics when we use numbers to describe facts about things in real life. The numbers that we collect are called data and we can show data using tables, charts and graphs.

Tables

Tables

  • Tables are useful for comparing numbers.
  • A table is a diagram with columns and rows for numbers or words.
    • Columns are vertical.
    • Rows are horizontal.
  • You will often record your data from science investigations in a table.
