Alumnos extranjeros
- No creo que haya tantos como la gente piensa. Yo he leído que sólo el 1 por ciento de los niños españoles va a un colegio donde hay un tercio de inmigrantes.
- I don't think there are as many as people think. I have read that only 1 percent of Spanish children go to a school where there are a third of immigrants.
Los actitudes de los padres
- Aún así, sé que hay mucha gente que intenta evitar llevar a sus hijos a un colegio con una tasa alta de inmigrantes, e incluso padres que están dispuestos a pagar para que sus niños vayan a un colegio privado para que no se tengan que mezclar con inmigrantes. Me parece fatal, ¿qué quieres que te diga?
- Still, I know that there are many people who try to avoid taking their children to a school with a high rate of immigrants, and even that parents are willing to pay for their children to go to a private school so that they do not have to mix with immigrants. La calidad de la enseñanza 2
- Casi el 50% de los españoles piensa que tener muchos estudiantes inmigrantes en la clase hace que la calidad de la educación sea más baja. Sin embargo, se ha hecho más de un estudio para averiguar si esto es verdad y la conclusión a la que se ha llegado es que eso es un mito.
- Almost 50% of Spaniards think that having many immigrant students in the class lowers the quality of education. However, more than one study has been carried out to find out if this is true and the conclusion that has been reached is that this is a myth.
La calidad de la enseñanza 3
- Aunque sí que es verdad que el rendemiento general de un colegio es más baja cuando hay muchos inmigrantes entre los alumnos, de todos modos, esto no afecta para nada el desenvolvimiento de los niños españoles ya que ellos aprenden igual.
- Although it is true that a school’s performance is worse when there are many immigrants among the students, that does not affect the average grade of Spanish children at all, they learn the same
El rendimiento de los esudiantes
- La educación de los niños españoles y su rendimiento escolar no empeora porque haya estudiantes inmigrantes en clase. Eso sí, cuando el número de estudiantes inmigrantes en una clase es alto, tienden a juntarse en grupos y eso puede llegar a afectar su rendimiento individual.
- The education of Spanish children and their school performance does not deteriorate because there are immigrant students in a class. Having said that, when the number of immigrant students in a class is high, they tend to gather in groups and that can affect their own performance.
El rendimiento de los esudiantes 2
- El rendimiento de ellos depende más de la situación económica y social de los padres, de si los padres están detrás de sus hijos para que estudien y de si viven en una situación relativamente acomodada.
- Their performance depends more on the economic and social background of the parents, on whether the parents are chasing their children to get them to study and whether they live in a relatively comfortable situation.
