Scientific diagrams and images are pictures that help the reader understand the investigation.

Diagrams

Diagrams may illustrate the experiment, or they may be a way of showing an idea that the scientist wants to explain.
Diagrams should be simple, clear, and labelled line drawings.
You do not have to be a good artist to do an effective science diagram.

Example

An example of a diagram would be a model car on a slope and the forces acting on it.

Images (or photographs)

Scientists often use real photographs in science presentations to show the viewer the real situation.
