A seed contains everything needed to grow into a new plant when planted in the soil and provided with enough water and sunlight.

Formation of seeds

Fertilisation happens when the male and female sex cells fuse.
- The fusion leads to the formation of seeds.

Germination

The seeds need the right conditions to grow.
- The right conditions include the correct temperature and the presence of water.
- The right conditions make the seed swell to become a new plant.
