Meditation
In Buddhism, meditation brings enlightenment. When you are calm and focused, you can understand and control your thoughts and actions.

Enlightenment
- Meditation is a very important aspect of Buddhism.
- The Buddha used meditation as the way to achieve enlightenment.
- He believed it gave him an understanding of the nature of things.
- Buddhists try to imitate the Buddha to understand the best way to live their lives and become enlightened.

Quietness
- When people are busy they are not able to focus on the very challenging questions of life.
- To reach enlightenment, people need to spend time in a quiet place. They need to allow their minds to ignore distractions.
- The calm allows people to focus, and they can often stay in this focused state for a long time.
- This way the mind can become still, and people can become less stressed.

Questions
- Buddhists believe it is important that the thoughts going on in the mind do not come and go randomly.
- To find answers, your mind must be still.
- What is the purpose of life? How do we avoid suffering? How do we live life in the best possible way?
