Noah & The Flood
Noah and the flood is a famous story in the Bible.

Noah
- Over time, the world had moved further away from God and the way he expects people to live. This happened 10 generations after Adam's death.
- This is implied in Genesis 6:6:
- “And God regretted/reconsidered having made man….I will wipe out humanity whom I created from the face of the ground.”
- However, one man and his family remained righteous and loyal to God.
- They were worthy of being saved and they would start the world again afresh.
- This man was Noah.

The Ark
- God tells Noah that a flood was coming to wipe out everything. And that Noah should build an Ark to house his family and some animals.
- God said that if people had the people repented, then they would have been saved.

The Flood
- But, the rain fell for 40 days and nights, and water covered the land for over a year.
- Noah was saved because he was described as “righteous”.
- God had given humans 120 years to change their behaviour and not one person did so.
