'Tener' in the Preterite Tense
For 'tener' in the preterite tense ','tuv' replaces 'ten' as the stem. The endings for the verb are similar to the verb 'estar'.
Tuve - I had
Tuviste - you had
Tuvo - he/she had / you had (formal)
Tuvimos - we had
Tuvisteis - you had (plural)
Tuvieron - they had / you had (formal plural)
