Present: Irregular 'IR' Verbs (6)
Spanish: Cambridge International GCSE, topic 8.1.20
Adding an Accent
When conjugated in the present tense, some IR verbs gain an accent. Note that this does NOT happen in the 'nosotros' and 'vosotros' forms. Derivatives of these verbs follow the same pattern.

Prohibir - to forbid
- Prohíbo - I forbid.
- Prohíbes - you forbid.
- Prohíbe - he/she forbids / you forbid (formal).
- Prohibimos - we forbid.
- Prohibís - you forbid (plural).
- Prohíben - they forbid / you forbid (formal plural).
