Regular AR Verbs in the Preterite Tense
To form the preterite tense of regular AR verbs, remove the AR and add the correct endings for each person. Here is the example with 'hablar' (to speak, talk):
Hablé - I spoke
Hablaste - you spoke
Habló - he/she spoke / you spoke (formal)
Hablamos - we spoke
Hablasteis - you spoke (plural)
Hablaron - they spoke / you spoke (formal plural)
