Optical Fibres - Medical Applications
A small group of fibres (a bundle) can be used in medical procedures to look inside the human body. For example:

Endoscopy
- A bundle transmits light from outside the patient's body to light up the internal organs.
- Light is then reflected by the organs back to the bundle and from a bundle to the camera outside the body.
