Air Resistance
Physics: Cambridge International GCSE Supplement, topic 1.2.11
Falling with Air Resistance
Objects falling through the Earth’s atmosphere do not continue to accelerate indefinitely because air resistance decreases the acceleration.

Frictional force
- Air resistance is a frictional force that opposes the motion of objects moving quickly through air.

Slows a falling object
- Air resistance decreases the acceleration of a falling object.
- The force due to air resistance increases as the speed of a falling object increases.
