12-Hour and 24-Hour Clocks
You will be expected to know the difference between the 12-hour (analogue) and 24-hour (digital) clock.

12-hour clock
- The 12-hour clock divides the 24 hours in a day into two sections (am and pm).
- 6.30am is in the morning.
- 6.30pm is in the evening.
- Analogue clocks have moving hands and the numbers 1-12. This means they are in the 12-hour clock.

24-hour clock
- The 24-hour clock runs from midnight to midnight and is divided into 24 hours.
- 6.30am is 06.30 in the 24-hour clock.
- 6.30pm is 18.30 in the 24-hour clock.
- Digital clocks show the time in numbers. They are often in the 24-hour clock.
