Irregular Verbs in the Future Perfect Tense
Some verbs are irregular in the future perfect tense. Irregular verbs use être as an auxiliary verb and/or have irregular past participles.

Irregular future perfect verbs
- Some verbs are irregular in the future perfect.
- Irregular verbs in the future perfect tense may:
- Use être as an auxiliary verb
- Have irregular past participles

Irregular -er verbs
- Here is an example of an irregular -er verb in the future perfect tense.
- Aller (to go) uses être as an auxiliary verb.
- Il sera allé voter dimanche.
- He will have gone to vote on Sunday.

Irregular -ir verbs
- Here are some examples of irregular -ir verbs in the future perfect tense.
- D’ici la fin de l’année, j’aurai couru 500 kilomètres.
- By the end of the year, I will have run 500 kilometres.
- Il sera mort avant l'indépendance de son pays.
- He will have died before his country became independent.

Irregular -re verbs
- Here is an example of an irregular -re verb in the future perfect tense.
- Les bombardements auront détruit de nombreuses villes pendant la guerre.
- Air raids will have destroyed many cities during the war.
