Adjectives Ending in a Consonant (r, l, s, d etc.)

When adjectives that end in a consonant (r, l, s, d etc.) are matched with a plural ('os' or 'as'), they add 'es' to the end.

Adding 'es'

Es inglés. → Son ingleses.
- He is English. → They are English.
Mi hermano es hablador. → Mis hermamos son habladores.
- My brother is talkative. → My brothers are talkative.

Adjectives Ending in a Vowel

If an adjective ends in a vowel (a, o, e, i, u) then you add an 's' when the adjective matches with a plural noun (ending in 'os', 'as').

Ending in a vowel

Mi hermana hermosa. → mis hermanas hermosas.
- My beautiful sister. → my beautiful sisters.
Un momento importante. → los momentos importantes.
- An important moment. → the important moments.
