Strong Preterites

All the strong preterites are irregular in the imperfect subjunctive. Their imperfect stem is formed from their irregular 'ellos/ellas' form in the preterite. You just remove the 'on' and add the imperfect endings. They take the ER/IR endings.

  • Fuera/fuese - he/she was going.
  • Fuéramos/fuésemos - we were going.
  • Fuerais/fueseis - you were going.
