Inequalities on a Graph

Represent these inequalities on the graph: x < 3, y ≤ x + 1, y > -2x + 2

Draw x 3 as a dashed line

Draw x = 3 as a dashed line

  • For < or > symbols use a dashed line.
Shade in region which doesn't satisfy the inequality

Shade in region which doesn't satisfy the inequality

  • x needs to be less than 3
Draw y x + 1 as a solid line

Draw y = x + 1 as a solid line

  • For ≤ or ≥ symbols use a solid line.
