Example of a Glacial Landscape - Snowdonia
Snowdonia is a classic example of a glacial landscape. Located in North Wales, Snowdonia has been iced over during many glacial periods. The upland areas, called the Glyders, are scattered with typical glacial landforms:

Arêtes
- E.g. Y Gribin.

Tarns
- E.g. Llyn Bochlwyd and Llyn Idwal.

Ribbon lakes
- E.g. Llyn Ogwen.

Glacial troughs
- E.g. Nant Ffrancon.

Moraines
- Moraine has been deposited all around Llyn Idwal.

Truncated spur
- The lower end of the arête, Y Gribin, has been interrupted by the Ogwen valley. A truncated spur has been left behind as a result.
