Types of Angles

Angles can be grouped depending on how big they are. Groups of angles have different names:

Right angles

Right angles

  • A right-angle is a 90° angle.
    • You can show a right-angle with a small square in the angle.
Acute angles

Acute angles

  • An acute angle is smaller than 90°.
Obtuse angles

Obtuse angles

  • An obtuse angle is bigger than 90° but smaller than 180°.
Reflex angles

  • A reflex angle is bigger than 180°.
