Multiplying by 10, 100, and 1,000 in your Head

You know that when you multiply something by 10, 100 or 1000 that the place value of the numbers will increase by 10, 100 or 1,000 times and become larger.

Dividing by 10, 100, and 1,000 in your Head

You know that when you divide something by 10, 100 or 1000 that the place value of the numbers will decrease by 10, 100 or 1,000 times and become smaller.
