Size of Angles

You can use degrees (°) to show the size of angles.

A full turn

A full turn of a circle is 360°.
- When the minute hand goes from 12 all the way around back to 12, it would have done a 360° turn.

Quarter past

A quarter of a circle is 90°.
- When the minute hand goes from 12 to quarter past, it would have done a 90° turn.

Half past

Half of a circle is 180°.
- When the minute hand goes from 12 to half past, it would have done a 180° turn.

Quarter to

Three quarters of a circle is 270°.
- When the minute hand goes from 12 to quarter to, it would have done a 270° turn.
