    • E.g. the factors of 15 are 1, 15, 3 and 5.
    • The prime factors of 15 are 3 and 5 (both 3 and 5 are prime numbers).

  • E.g. the factors of 24 are 1, 24, 2, 12, 3, 8, 4 and 6.
    • The prime factors of 24 are 2 and 3 (both 2 and 3 are prime numbers).
    • 1, 24, 12, 8, 4 and 6 are NOT prime factors because they are NOT prime.
