Kinetic Theory
Chemistry: Cambridge International GCSE Supplement, topic 1.1.5
The Kinetic Theory of Matter
The kinetic theory of matter states that all matter is made up of tiny particles that are constantly moving.

Brownian motion
- In 1827, Robert Brown discovered that particles are constantly moving.
- This is called Brownian motion.
- The particles seemed to move randomly. They do this because they are bombarded by the other moving particles in the fluid.
