The Force of Gravity
The force of gravity is a non-contact force.

The force of gravity
- Gravity acts on all objects on the Earth.
- Gravity acts on objects at all times on Earth.
- Gravity pulls objects down to Earth.

Example
- If a ball is thrown up into the air, it moves quickly at first before slowing down.
- Air resistance will act on the ball to slow it down.
- The Earth's gravitational pull will also act on the ball to slow it down.
- After some time, the force of gravity slows the ball down so much that gravity pulls the ball back down towards the Earth.
