Regular AR Verbs in the Present Tense
There are groups of verbs that follow the same pattern in Spanish. One group is called ‘AR verbs’ because in the infinitive they all end in '-ar'.

Using AR verbs
- Forming the present tense for regular AR verbs is simple.
- You just need to remove '-ar' and add the endings for each person.
- Here is the example for 'hablar' (to speak, to talk).

Singular
- yo hablo - I talk
- tú hablas - you talk (singular)
- él/ella habla - he/she/it talks

Plural
- nosotros/nosotras hablamos - we talk
- vosotros/vosotras habláis - you talk (plural)
- ellos/ellas hablan - they talk

Examples
- Yo hablo español.
- I speak Spanish.
- Ella habla con su madre.
- She talks with her mother.
