Subject Pronouns

Subject pronouns are the words that we use to replace nouns. In Spanish, they have subject pronouns but they don’t always need to use them with the verb.

  • You DO NOT always need to use subject pronouns in Spanish.
    • This means, you don’t always need words like ‘yo’ or ‘tú’.
  • The verb ending shows who is doing the verb.

  • We use 'nosotros', 'vosotros' and 'ellos' for:
    • Talking about more than one masculine noun.
    • Talking about male people, or a mixed group of masculine and feminine.
