Uses of 'Estar'
The verb 'estar' in Spanish has many different uses. It is important to know its uses.

Health
- In the same way, 'estar' is used to show illness.
- Because ‘estar’ is used to communicate a state or circumstantial situation.
- Están enfermos.
- They are ill.

Work
- We use ‘estar’ to talk about a job that we see as temporary.
- Está de camarero.
- He’s working as a waiter — it’s temporary.

Marital status
- We use 'estar' to talk about marital status.
- Estoy casado.
- I'm married.
- You can use these words:
