Adding '-mente'
Adverbials give more information about verbs: how, when or where the verb is happening.

Adverbs of manner
- Adverbs of manner tell us how the verb is being done.
- In English, adverbs of manner often end in '-ly'.
- E.g. 'quickly' is an adverb of manner.

Adding '-mente'
- Adverbs are often formed by adding '-mente' to the end of an adjective.
- Adding '-mente is like adding '-ly' in English.
- '-Mente' is added to the feminine form of an adjective.
- The feminine form of an adjective often ends in an '-a'.

Example
- rápido - quick
- rápida - quick in feminine form
- rápidamente - quickly

Some examples
- general → generalmente - generally
- total → totalmente - totally
- lento → lenta → lentamente - slowly
