Verbs
Verbs tell us what is happening in a sentence. This could be an action (e.g. to walk, to play) or a ‘state of being’ (e.g. I am tired).


The infinitive of a verb
The infinitive of a verb
- The ‘title’ of the verb is called the infinitive.
- You can find this basic form of the verb in the dictionary.
- In English, the infinitive starts with ‘to’.
- E.g. to walk.
- In Spanish, the infinitive is just one word.
- Infinitives in Spanish ends in '-ar', '-er', or '-ir'.
