Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Humans need to stop using as much of the Earth’s natural resources as possible. This can be done by the 3 Rs.

Reduce

Reduce

  • Reduce the amount of waste produced.
  • Reduce the number of resources that we use.
Reuse

Reuse

  • Reuse materials rather than throwing them away.
  • Use products such as plastic drinks bottles more than once.
Recycle

Recycle

  • Rather than throwing away materials so they go straight to landfill, some can be recycled.
  • Recycling makes old materials into new materials that can be used again.
  • We are able to recycle many materials by our roadside rubbish collections, such as:
    • Glass.
    • Paper and card.
    • Plastics.
    • Cans.
