Regular IR Verbs in the Future Tense
For IR verbs, the future tense in French is formed by taking the infinitive of a verb and adding the future endings. Here is the example with 'dormir' (to sleep):

Tu dormiras - you will sleep
- 'Tu' means 'you' (singular).

Vous dormirez - you will sleep
- 'Vous' means:
- You (plural).
- You (singular, formal).

Ralentir - to slow down
- Je ralentirai - I will slow down.
- Tu ralentiras - you (singular) will slow down.
- Il/elle/on ralentira - he/she/one will slow down.
- Nous ralentirons - we will slow down.
- Vous ralentirez - you (plural/formal) will slow down.
- Ils/elles ralentiront - they will slow down.

Atterrir - to land
- J'atterrirai - I will land.
- Tu atterriras - you (singular) will land.
- Il/elle/on atterrira - he/she/one will land.
- Nous atterrirons - we will land.
- Vous atterrirez - you (plural/formal) will land.
- Ils/elles atterriront - they will land.

Partir - to leave
- Je partirai - I will leave.
- Tu partiras - you (singular) will leave.
- Il/elle/on partira - he/she/one will leave.
- Nous partirons - we will leave.

Avertir - to warn
- J'avertirai - I will warn.
