Beliefs about the Afterlife
Christians believe that death is not the end of their existence. After death, they experience a form of resurrection (rising from the dead).

Resurrection
Christian Creeds talk about the ‘resurrection of the body,’ but this means a body that will not corrupt.
Most Christians believe they have an immaterial soul that lives forever.
Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die” (John 11:25-26 NIV).

Heaven and hell
Christians believe that at the Last Judgement, God will judge them based on how they lived their lives.
After judgment, they may be welcomed into Heaven or sent to Hell.

Influence on life
- Belief in the afterlife encourages Christians to live a good life and have a relationship with God, hoping to go to Heaven.
