Non-Governmental Organisations
Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) play an important role in conservation. Examples of NGOs include the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) & Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).

WWF
- The WWF plays an important fold in publicising wildlife and conservation issues.
- It also funds conservation initiatives in an aim to reduce the impact of humans on the environment.

CITES
- CITES plays an important role in regulating the trade of endangered plant and animal species.
- Their aim is to make sure that any trade of endangered species or their products does not pose a threat to their survival.
