Air Resistance & Friction
Physics: AQA GCSE Higher, topic 5.3.3
Falling with Air Resistance
Objects falling through the Earth’s atmosphere do not continue to accelerate indefinitely because air resistance slows them down.

Frictional force
- Air resistance is a frictional force that opposes the motion of objects moving quickly through the air.

Slows a falling object
- Air resistance slows down a falling object.
- The force due to air resistance increases as the speed of a falling object increases.
