Topology - Mesh
Computer Science: Edexcel IGCSE, topic 5.1.23
Mesh Topology
In the mesh topology, each computer is connected to every other computer on the network.

Decentralised
- In the mesh topology, there is no central server.
- There is no single point at which the network can fail.

High cost
- A wired mesh is very expensive to construct.
- For example, even a mesh with 10 computers will need at least 45 cables.
- Using wireless technology helps to lessen this cost.

Full mesh vs partial mesh
- In a full mesh, every device is connected to every other device.
- In a partial mesh, not all devices are fully connected.
