Regular IR Verbs in the Present Tense

For French verbs that end in IR, you need to remove the IR and add the endings for each person. Here is the example for 'finir' (to finish):

Tu fin=is= - you finish

Tu finis - you finish

  • 'Tu' means 'you' (singular).
Vous fin=issez= - you finish

Vous finissez - you finish

  • 'Vous' means:
    • You (plural).
    • You (singular, formal).
