Light Sensors
Light sensors are also known as photo sensors or photodetectors. Light sensors measure the intensity or presence of light in their surroundings.

Electrical signals
- Light sensors convert light energy into electrical signals.
- Light sensors have various applications including:
- Electronic devices.
- Automation.
- Environmental monitoring.

Applications
- There are various examples of light sensor applications:
- Automatic street lighting.
- Camera auto-focus.
- Security systems.
- Solar-powered devices.

Smart buildings
- Light sensors are used in smart buildings.
- Light sensors can adjust artificial lighting based on the amount of natural light available.
- Light sensors are used in proximity sensors.
- Light sensors can detect the presence of an object or person based on reflected light.
